These are direct downloads. Toadstool is not yet listed in the Chrome Web Store or Google Play.

Install the extension

  1. Download the ZIP above and extract it into a folder you’ll keep.
  2. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome or brave://extensions in Brave.
  3. Turn on Developer mode, select Load unpacked, and choose the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
  4. Sign in to Toadstool, open Devices, and create a pairing code.
  5. Open the extension, use https://gettoadstool.com as the server, and enter the code.

Keep the extracted folder. To update, replace its contents with the new download and click Reload on the extensions page.

Install on Android

  1. Download the APK on your Android phone and open it.
  2. If prompted, allow installation from the browser or file manager you used. Android asks because this download is outside Google Play.
  3. Install and open Toadstool.
  4. Sign in on the web, open Devices, and create a pairing code.
  5. Enter the code and a device name in the app. Pairing codes expire after ten minutes.

The app checks for updates when it starts and asks before installing an available update.
